THE Matabeau in Hereford has closed its doors.
The cafe in Commercial Street evokes happy memories for many people as it has long been established in the city.
Staff were told at the weekend that the cafe was closing and it has not opened its doors today.
The Hereford Times archive held a photo of Angelo Moruzzi, who owned the cafe for a number of years until 1996, when he retired.
He was known as Mister M to his customers and staff. He also used to run the Friar Tuck on Belmont Road. He died aged 75 in 2008.
