MORE teams are being sought for a demanding 24-hour fundraising spinathon which more than 500 people took part in last year.

The fourth spinathon at thePoint4, on Venns Lane, kicks off at 9am on Friday, February 24, and ends at the same time the following day.

Having raised almost £18,000 last year, the team behind the popular event are this year aiming to raise £20,000.

Half of the funds will go towards the refurbishment of the spa and hydrotherapy areas at thePoint4 while the remaining half will be directed to help develop essential services for students at the Royal National College (RNC).

It is the fourth spinathon organised by Ben Harwood and the team at thePoint4 and the total could reach more than £50,000 after funds are collected from the latest event.

An after-party, open to everyone, will be held at Saxtys on the Saturday evening and tickets are available from thePoint4.

To enter a team to ride for the 24 hours, contact Ben directly or thePoint4 reception on 01432 376376 for a registration form.
