TWO talented Hereford students have been named the winner and runner-up in a competition to design a logo for an independent pub group.
Gregory Fitze Horswell, a student at Hereford College of Arts, took the top spot in the competition to design a logo for Coach House Inns, which owns the Riverside Inn at Aymestrey.
Fellow student at the college, Jessie Dixon, was named runner-up.
Janet Hutchings, director of Coach House Inns, said: “We were looking for a distinctive logo that would reflect the individuality, character, and stunning rural location of our inns.
"We were delighted with the calibre of entries, but the designs produced by Gregory and Jessie really did jump out. Finally, after much deliberation, we chose Gregory as the winner.
"We are delighted that his logo will now feature prominently at The Riverside Inn, the fishing fly reflecting its lovely waterside location. "
Gregory will receive £100 in cash, and Jessie will receive a runner-up prize of lunch for two people at The Riverside in Aymestrey.
