A MUSIC festival is bringing its own stage to the city's celebration of the River Wye.

Nozstock, which takes place near Bromyard every July, has teamed up with the Hereford River Carnival to host a stage.

There will be acts playing throughout the day on Castle Green, Hereford.

The line-up is: Woo Town Hillbillies (12.30pm), Steve Strong (1.25pm), King Solomon Band (2.25pm), Cantaloop (3.35pm) and Desert Boots (4.45pm).

The river carnival was re-introduced to the city in 2014 after a 40-year absence and takes place on Castle Green, King George V Playing Fields, Bishops Meadow and at the Left Bank.

The celebrations starts at 10am on April 29 with a fun dog show, then at 11am the Carnival of Sport begins.

At 11.15am there is the CHAR sprint race on the Wye, the Nozstock stage starts at 12.30pm and the street carnival begins at 1pm at Castle Green and then goes through the city centre.

At 2.15pm the River Carnival procession begins and at 3.30pm the City of Hereford Rotary Club holds its charity duck race.

All times are approximate.

New to this year's celebrations, there will be an event on the Friday night from 8pm to 11pm which will see a theatrical performance through the streets of Hereford depicting the Mappa Mundi.
