PERMISSION has been given to extend a Leominster cemetery which is running out of burial space.
The land required to extend the site, on Hereford Road, is within the curtilage of the existing cemetery and was left unattended until 2016 when it was cleared in preparation or the soil condition and drainage status report.
The scheme will provide a further 1,209 burial spaces and enable provision for 90 years.
