THE police and the fire service will be working together in Hereford to protect those at risk from threats of harm.
Seven staff from Hereford &Worcester Fire and Rescue Service's West District Administration and Community Risk Team have joined West Mercia Police’s Harm Hub, to work in an integrated way from Hereford Police Station in Bath Street.
In a joint statement HWFRS group commander Richie Jordan and superintendent Sue Thomas said: "Threats of harm can be varied, with some crossover for both services. The teams will work together to identify, reduce and prevent these threats, continuing to keep the public safe."
Police and crime commissioner John Campion welcomed the collaborative approach and said the teams can share knowledge, resources and skills.
