A MAN was rescued and taken to hospital after falling on rocks in Symonds Yat.
Emergency services were called to a 'steeply wooded area' at around 5.45pm on Saturday.
The Hazardous Area Response Team (HART) from West Midlands Ambulance Service attended, along with fire crews from Ross-on-Wye and Gloucestershire.
Gloucestershire Fire and Rescue Service implemented a rope safety system which enabled the man to be carried to an ambulance safely.
WMAS Hart tweeted that it had been a 'difficult extraction in a steeply wooded area'.
The man was taken to hospital by ambulance.
