READY with paint and brushes, volunteers from Harrison Clark Rickerbys got stuck in at Hereford's Close House youth centre to turn a storage room into a counselling room.

The centre, opposite Gilbies, supports young people aged between 11 and 24, offering them a safe haven and helping them to overcome negative experiences and find a new path in life.

The paint and tools were donated by the Crown Decorator Centre while tradesman Dave Beynon gave his expert advice. Harrison Clark Rickerbys Charitable Trust also agreed to donate a further £500 to the project.

Heidi Cooper, who organised the event, said: “Close House is such a fantastic place and it is an absolute pleasure to help raise awareness of the wonderful work they do.

"We still need an electrician so if anybody can help, please get in touch at hcooper@hcrlaw.com.”
