CROWDS gathered at the Hereford Railway Station to see the Flying Scotsman pass through.
The iconic locomotive passed through the station at lunchtime today as it travelled from Shrewsbury to Cardiff.
It is always a popular attraction and this visit was no exception as many gathered to take photos.
The locomotive also attracted crowds throughout the county as it made its way through the countryside.
The Flying Scotsman was originally built in Doncaster for the London and North Eastern Railway (LNER), emerging from the works on 24 February 1923.
The locomotive set two world records for steam traction. It was the first steam locomotive to be officially authenticated at reaching 100 miles per hour in 1934, and it then set a record for the longest non-stop run by a steam locomotive when it ran 422 miles in 1989 in Australia.
