A DEBATE is being held to help young people have their say and decide on who they would like to vote for in June’s general election.

The event, taking place this Thursday (May 25) is being attended by parliamentary candidates for Hereford and South Herefordshire who will speak about their political plans for the future and answer direct questions on topics raised by young people.

There will also be a 20-minute question time open to the audience giving attendees the opportunity to discuss issues which matter to them.

Candidates due to attend are Conservative Jesse Norman, Lib Dem Lucy Hurd, Diana Toynbee from the Green Party, Labour's Anna Coda and independent candidate Jim Kenyon.

The debate is being organised by the Supported Housing for Young People Project (SHYPP) to give young people a voice in the election and speak out about the decisions being made.

The debate takes place on Thursday, May 25, from 6pm to 8pm at De Koffie Pot, Left Bank on Bridge Street, Hereford.
