A MAN has breached a criminal behaviour order after he was seen shouting and swearing outside his home.

Jonathan Nuttall, 51, of Kings Arms Yard, Bromyard, pleaded guilty to the breach at Herefordshire Magistrates Court.

He was given a criminal behaviour order in March to last for three years, which prohibits him from entering Belmont Veterinary Surgery and engaging in behaviour that caused harassment, alarm or distress in a public place.

Owen Beale, prosecuting, said on May 4 at midday he was outside his home shouting and swearing continuously, but not at anyone in particular.

The receptionist at the veterinary surgery was concerned that there were clients walking through the carpark. He threw his crutch on the floor, picked it up and drove off.

The court heard Nuttall took medication to control his temperament.

Emma Prosser, mitigating, said it was the first breach of the order. She said since Nuttall started taking medication in March of this year and his temperament has improved.

Magistrates fined Nuttall £40 and ordered him to pay a victim surcharge of £30.
