ANTIQUE experts whose faces are familiar to millions of TV viewers will help value items brought to St Michael’s Hospice in Hereford next month.

Will Farmer, from the BBC’s Antiques Roadshow, and Nick Davies, who often appears on Flog It! will cast their eyes over pieces brought to the first ever Antiques on the Terrace.

Will and Nick, who are based at Fieldings Auctioneers Ltd in Stourbridge, will be joined by their colleague, Bill Lacey, who has a special connection with St Michael’s.

Mr Lacey, who is the Fieldings' picture consultant, said: "Antiques on the Terrace is for a very worthwhile cause.

"My father died recently. He had been at St Michael’s Hospice, so it’s a particularly special place for me and my family and I wanted to help them out.

"For those last few days he had the best send-off he possible could have received.

"I felt we needed to do something in recognition of that."

Last weekend, Bill’s sister and brother-in-law last raised more than £1,000 by holding a gig at Yarpole Village Hall featuring leading covers band The AllTones.

Anyone with an item they would like the experts to cast their eyes over is invited to attend Antiques on the Terrace.

No booking is required, and there is a minimum price of £1 per item and a maximum of five items per person but unfortunately, St Michael’s Hospice cannot collect items.

The event takes place on Friday, July 21 at the hospice in Bartestree between 11am and 3pm.
