VISITORS will head to Bromyard this weekend to join the town's annual gala celebrations in its 50th year.

As always, there will be plenty going on over the two-day event including vintage tractors, a parade of steam, carnival and The World Famous Dancing Diggers.

There will also be a fairground, food and crafts and a produce and handicraft show at the popular event which typically attracts several thousand visitors.

Advance tickets are available online but on each day, tickets will cost £11 for adults (£13 for a weekend ticket), £10 for seniors, £2 for children under 16 and free entry for children under 5.

Visitors to the History Society marquee will be able to see videos made by schools in Bredenbury, Suckley, Pencombe and Brockhampton to reflect life in their community since 1967 when the first Bromyard Gala was held.

The Bromyard Gala takes place on June 24 and 25 at The Burgess Farm, Avenbury, just outside Bromyard town.
