A CARE company in Hereford is holding a recruitment day in the wake of major job losses at Gelpack.
Kemble at Home, which provides care services to people within their homes across the region, is inviting anyone interested in a career in care to come to the event on Friday, August 18.
Managers at Kemble say they have a number of vacancies, from care managers to live-in and visiting carers.
Sandra Taylor, business and marketing manager, said: “We were saddened to hear of Gelpack going into administration with the loss of so many jobs, and we want to show people that working in care can be a viable option for anyone.
“It doesn’t matter what background you are from, we provide excellent training for our carers so you don’t need to have experience in the care industry. We offer a full and ongoing support as you develop your career.
The recruitment day will take place at Kemble at Home’s offices on Sigeric Business Park, Holme Lacy Road, on Friday, August 18.
There will be a short introduction to care work course at 9am, 11am, 1pm and 3pm, and everyone is welcome.
