PUPILS from Leominster's Earl Mortimer College have helped enhance the garden at one of the town's nursing homes.
The youngsters, who were taking part in the National Citizen Service (NCS) scheme, chose to support West Eaton Nursing Home and acquired plants to enhance the Serenity Garden and hosted a tea and cake garden party with residents.
Megan Dale, Jess Chandler, Kate Campbell, Molly Wilson, Beth Jones, Hattie Barnett, Kayleigh Wilks, James Colley, Ryan Hill and Ash Benjamin all took part in the project and West Eaton thanked them for what was a lovely couple of days.
A spokesman for the home said: "The garden looks wonderful and the tea party was a great success. It was lovely to welcome the Mayor, Councillor Roger Pendleton, to the tea party and to admire the work they had done.
"We would also like to thank Hannah and Indie, their mentors from Catch 22, a non-profit business, with a social mission and heart of a charity.
"More importantly this project would not have been possible without the generosity of the people of Leominster through the donations the young people received, we would like to say a big thank you."
