WHAT lurks in the dark alleyways around Bromyard is promised to give you a fright this Halloween?

Designed for adults the Bromyard Fright Night- Run of Terror is not for the faint hearted or those easily scared with challenges from mythical and horror creators lying in wait.

An 'intense scare' awaits those brave souls who choose to take part at Bromyard Recreation Ground on Saturday, October 28 from 6pm until 10.30pm.

Organised by the Kempson Players groups of six participants will traverse the back lanes and alleys around the park area around a course which will take between 15 and 20 minutes to complete.

"It is a chase event so running is involved though non runners can also attempt it and might survive," said organiser Karen Rock.

"It is aimed at adults so parental advisory is required for young teens as it is designed as an intense scare. Participants will meet various creatures and you won't know where they are waiting so it will be quite scary.

"We have planned jump points so people will see something to make them jump. There is a few scare sections as well set in a variety of different scenarios."

Tickets for the event cost £7 each and the proceeds will go towards the running and improving of the park.

Participants have the option to dress in the post-apocalypse/steampunk dress and there is a barbecue and licensed bar on the field, spectators are also welcome.

"We have taken over the maintenance and running of the playing fields," added Mrs Rock.

"The park has been very neglected, the equipment is run down and there is very little up there. We are trying to make it a state of the art park. We are holding a whole variety of fundraising events and applying for grants."

Tickets are limited, to book go to the Bromyard Conquest theatre website at: www.conquest-theatre.co.uk/showall and ring /text 07722630430 to reserve a time slot.
