STORM Brian did little to deter visitors to Leominster's Apple Fair on Saturday.
Despite heavy rain and winds, people still turned out to visit the annual autumn event at the Priory Church where more than 150 varieties of apple were on display.
The event, organised by local members of the Green Party, was established to focus on locally-grown food and local producers and showcase the huge variety of apples still found in the county.
One of the organisers, Felicity Norman, said: "We felt it went very well really. The weather was so awful but it cleared a bit and we got a turn-out of probably just slightly less than last year.
"We had entertainment from the Leominster Ukelele Band, The Hooligans and Jenny Morris Pipes in the afternoon which are always very popular.
"It was a lovely day and all the stallholders who attend love the atmosphere and the smells and sights."
Apple identification and advice was also on offer from the Marcher Apple Network, as well as demonstrations of botanical art, weaving and basket making.
