A CHAMPION slimmer, who lost almost eight stone, no longer has diabetes and has been approved for fertility treatment.

Stacey Price joined her local Slimming World group in Saxon Hall, Hereford, a year ago and has lost seven and a half stone.

The 27 year old has struggled with her weight all her life and has always found it difficult to lose weight and keep it off.

At her heaviest Stacey weighed 20 and a half stone and suffered from type two diabetes, thyroid problems and low confidence.

After starting to slim down, she felt confident enough to start being more active too and now takes part in charity runs and active outdoor family activities.

Stacey, who is assistant manager at Costa Coffee, Hereford, is no longer diabetic and no longer needs medication to manage this.

Now that her BMI is in a healthy range, Stacey and her husband have been approved for fertility treatment – they have been trying to start a family for four years.

Also, Stacey has been promoted twice in work since losing weight as her new-found confidence has encouraged her to go for job promotions and believe in herself.

“I might have lost 7.5 stone, but I’ve gained so much more. I feel happier, healthier and have loads more confidence. I can’t believe the difference in me in just a year and neither can my family and friends,” she said.
