POTHOLES in Ledbury are set to be repaired in the near future, says Herefordshire Council.

Resident Edd Hogan alerted the Ledbury Reporter to a large pothole at the entrance to the Ledbury Swimming Pool car park, off Lawnside Road.

He said: "It's been there a while now and is rather deep and would do considerable damage to a car.

"There are a lot of potholes around Ledbury as well as footpaths that need repairing. The state of the junction at the top of Biddulph Way is worthy of a moon buggy."

Coun Barry Durkin, Herefordshire Council’s cabinet member for transport, roads and regulatory services, said: “Herefordshire Council, in partnership with Balfour Beatty Living Places, carries out regular road maintenance inspections in Herefordshire as outlined in our highways maintenance plan.

"The potholes near the junction of Biddulph Way and the Southend have been inspected and are due to be repaired. Lawnside Road, near the swimming baths, is due to be inspected by our maintenance team.”
