A MOTORCYCLIST who c rashed with a minibus had been drink-driving, magistrates heard.
Leslie Harber, 64, of St Peters Close, Moreton-on-Lugg, pleaded guilty to drink driving at Hereford Magistrates Court.
Sara Beddow, prosecuting, said that at just after 9pm Harber was riding a Honda CBR 1,000 when he and a minibus crashed on Hereford Road, Leominster.
Harber admitted drinking alcohol before riding his motorbike. He was initially taken to hospital and tested 82 milligrammes of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood, the legal limit is 80.
Marilena Di Vitantonio, mitigating, said that Harber went to see a friend which led to him having a few drinks.
He had gone to get a takeaway when the incident happened.
Harber was ordered to pay an £80 fine, £135 costs and a £30 victim surcharge.
He was also disqualified from driving for 12 months, which could be reduced by three months on completion of a drink-driving rehabilitation course.
