Adventurer, presenter and writer Will Millard will talk about his book, The Old Man and the Sand Eel at Rossiter Books in Ross-on-Wye on Wednesday, February 28.

In his recent television series, Will Millard travelled the length of the River Wye from source to sea, exploring the river, the landscape it flows though, and the communities that line its banks – including of course, Ross-on-Wye.

The talk will be about both the book and the television series and will appeal not only to those who enjoy fishing but to anyone who loves life by the river.

His book is the story of his grandad, his childhood, and his love of fishing. The waterways of Britain thread their way through the book, making it a memoir about so much more than the quest to catch fish. Beautifully written, it is about family, our relationship with nature and the beauty of Britain.

Tickets for Will Millard at Rossiter Books, The Corn Exchange, Ross-on-Wye at 7pm on Wednesday, February 28, available from Rossiter Books Ross (01989 564464), Monmouth (01600 775572) and online at rossiterbooks.co.uk
