GOLDFRAPP, Grandmaster Flash and Chase and Status are among the top stars who will be appearing at the 20th anniversary Nozstock festival near Bromyard this summer.

This summer Nozstock: The Hidden Valley celebrates its 20th birthday, becoming one of a select number of festivals that have prospered for two decades.

It’s a huge achievement for the family-fun festival which is set across a working farm in the rolling hills of Herefordshire.

In that time, the festival has grown from a gathering of like-minded friends into a major date in the summer festival calendar.

And to mark the occasion, the theme for this year's gathering is Nozstalgia – anything from Gameboys and Ghostbusters to the Karate Kid and flared jeans

Ella Nosworthy, who runs Nozstock with her father, says: “No-one is more surprised than us that we’ve made it to our 20th birthday.

"We’re planning our biggest show ever to make it a real celebration, and we’re sure that anyone who has been to the festival will not want to miss this summer.

"We’ve bought back some of our favourite and most memorable artists from the past 20 years. Our Nozstalgia theme is whatever you feel fond about from the past. There’s lots of inspiration to get really creative.”

This year's line-up includes live performances from the Selecter, Dub Pistols, Electric Swing Circus, Kiko Bun, the Lovely Eggs, and Oh My God! It’s The Church, plus DJ sets from DJ Marky and GQ, Black Sun Empire, S.P.Y, Audio, Dillinja, Randall and many more.

Last year, Nozstock was honoured with two awards, one for its work towards creating a sustainable festival and the other for providing innovative access for disabled audiences.

And it was also nominated in four categories at the UK Festival Awards: greener festival, best small festival, best family festival and best grass roots festival.

The event is on Friday to Sunday, July 20 to 24, and for full details, visit nozstock.com.
