MOST schools closed early on Thursday, March 1, because of the snow, as wintry weather made its presence felt for World Book Day.
But some youngsters at Much Marcle Primary enjoyed the event slightly earlier than that, a few days before, by dressing up as their favourite fictional characters to get across the message that reading is fun.
The library at the primary recently underwent a one month refurbishment, and shelves were replenished with plenty of new titles suitable for key stage 1 and key stage 2 levels.
