LEDBURY'S Recreation Ground is to be rededicated as a war memorial site, during a ceremony organised by the town council, next week.
The site, which is already a Centenary Field, was originally created to honour Ledbury's fallen of the First World War, and the rededication will take place to mark the centenary anniversary year of the signing of the Armistice, which ended the conflict.
Representatives from local schools and other organisations are expected to attend, at the invitation of the mayor, Cllr Elaine Fieldhouse, on Friday March 23, at 11.30am.
The rededication will be followed by light refreshments in the town council offices.
