IF you want to know the time, or indeed how to get away with murder, ask a policemen.

Former Detective Sergeant turned stand-up comedian Alfie Moore, star of his own hit BBC Radio 4 comedy series, It’s A Fair Cop, brings his latest stand-up show Getting Away with Murder to Huntingdon Hall, this May.

When it comes to looking at crime, Alfie’s been there, seen that, and has the tales to prove it.

A spokesman said: “In this fascinating and funny interactive show Alfie draws on historic murder cases and his own personal policing experiences to describe the art and science of murder and its investigation. He skilfully blends his trademark wit and charm with his extensive knowledge of the law as he encourages his audience to experience first-hand how it feels to be part of planning ‘The Perfect Murder’ – with hilarious results.”

The spokesman added: “Born and raised on a council estate in Sheffield, Alfie was an apprentice in the steelworks before joining the police, where he has served for eighteen years gathering a wealth of hilarious stories that you just couldn’t make up.

“Alfie has gone strength to strength with TV credits including Comic Relief, Bizarre Crime (BBC3), and Confessions of a Police Officer (Channel4). He was one of the stars of Show Me the Funny (ITV) and recently joined the presenting team of Channel 5’s CCTV crime series Caught on Camera.”
