Matthew Rogers, Freedom Leisure active communities manager, said: “These awards are the highlight of the city’s sporting calendar and we want to reach out and remind local sports organisations, schools, clubs and athletes to nominate their worthy students, coaches and teams for these wonderful awards.

"So, if you know a volunteer, coach, club, team or individual from Worcester who has shown great dedication since August 2017 then show them the recognition they deserve by nominating.

“These awards really are a celebration of the city’s talent in grass roots sport, and one we are extremely proud to produce. We want to do more than just recognise local sporting heroes, we want to help support them to achieve their goals – it is for this reason there are grants available for sports clubs and athletes and the latest round is now open for applications.”
