YOUNGSTERS from Busy Bees pre-school in Ledbury recently enjoyed an outing to Ledbury Books and Maps, in the High Street, where they met the well-known author and illustrator, Daisy Hurst.

Busy Bees manager, Emma Davis said: "Daisy was in town to decorate the window of the book shop to promote her new picture book called 'I Do Not Like Books Anymore!' "At Busy Bees, we absolutely love books and could not miss the opportunity for the children to meet an author."

Miss Davis added: "In the book shop, Lindsay kindly allowed us room to read I Do Not Like Books Anymore and the children got a chance to meet Daisy.

"We had a copy of the book signed and dedicated to Busy Bees and the children had their photos taken with her. When we arrived back at Busy Bees, we read the story to the whole group - one little boy gasped and said "how can you not like books?

"We had a wonderful experience and would like to thank both Daisy and Lindsay at Ledbury Books and Maps."

I Do Not Like Book Anymore! has recently been is shortlisted for the Association of Illustrators’ World Illustration Awards.
