THE community of Colwall will be celebrating all that makes the village a great place to live later this month.

The event is the Colwall Ale House Festival is named after the ancient building in the grounds of the village church that dates back to the 16th century.

The event, on Saturday, June 30, starts with a classic car cavalcade which this year includes a special feature: a range of classic Land Rovers as Colwall’s tribute to the 70th anniversary of the Land Rover marque.

A peal of church bells at 11am will open the festival, followed by music and entertainment, including stand-up comedy, a food and drink fair, arts, crafts and market stalls, plus games, activities and bags of fun.

Come and join in the fun."

As well as the festival itself, Colwall Flicks in the Sticks is putting on a special film evening on Friday, June 29, featuring Darkest Hour, and Colwall Community Choir is holding its summer concert on the Saturday evening.
