A SECTION of the main Hereford to Worcester road will close for resurfacing works in August.

Highways engineers have scheduled to repair the carriageway on the A4103 from the Aylestone Hill roundabout to the Bromyard turn between August 6 and 10.

A night-time road closure will be in place between 8pm and 6am during the week and there will be no access to Aylestone Hill when travelling from the Worcester direction.

However, there will still be access to the Bromyard road when travelling from Worcester.

Residents in the area have been advised to make sure that their rubbish and recycling bins are presented by 6.30am on their normal collection days throughout the road works period.

A spokesperson for council highways contractor Balfour Beatty said: “While we recognise that any road closure is disruptive, these works are part of an investment of more than £25 million into the county’s roads and public spaces in 2018/19, which hopefully you will agree will have a positive impact on the health, wealth and well being of all who live, work and travel in Herefordshire.”
