FOUR new councillors have been elected and Ledbury has its first full town council in months, thanks to the parish elections of August 2.
Five candidates contested three vacant seats for the Ledbury North ward.
Dee-Linda Knight (Independent) was elected with 221 votes; Vicktoria Anne Low was elected with 336 votes and Daniel Andris Vesma (Local Dad) was elected with 260 votes.
The percentage turn-out was 23.92 per cent.
Two candidates contested a vacant seat for the West Ledbury ward.
Dean Whittler (Active Retiree) was elected with 384 votes.
The percentage turn-out was 16.45 per cent.
A recent run of resignations on the town council has been unprecedented and until last month, when Phillip Howells stood on the Liberal Democrat ticket in another election for the Ledbury North ward, and won the seat, there were five vacancies.
Ledbury town council is now up to its full strength of 18 councillors.
The next meeting of the full Ledbury Town Council is scheduled to take place in Ledbury Community Hall on Thursday, September 27, from 7.30pm.
