BROMYARD TOWN 1, SHEPSHED DYNAMO 4
BROMYARD Town got off to a dream start in their first FA Cup tie, but a shock was not to be at Delahay Meadow.
Shepshed Dynamo eventually proved too strong for their West Midlands League opponents, but the visitors had to fight all the way for a place in the first qualifying round.
The hosts took a shock early lead on 12 minutes when Andy Mottershead knocked the ball into his own net.
However, the elation proved short lived and within five minutes Ade Adelukan had levelled for the Unibond League visitors.
Some slack defending let in Channon North to put Shepshed in front on 30 minutes, but the home side were not overawed and produced some good, passing football.
At the other end, Bromyard goalkeeper Aaron O'Malley produced some fine saves to keep Town in the tie, but he was finally defeated late on when Matt Hill rounded off a counter-attack.
Dave Williams added a fourth to finally shatter Bromyard's hopes.
Tomorrow (Saturday), Bromyard turn their attention to the the FA Vase and welcome Walsall Wood (3.00) in the first qualifying round.
