A COUPLE who met while working at Bulmers in Hereford are celebrating their diamond anniversary.

Vivien and John Scott met while working and then went dancing at the popular Park Hall in Wormelow.

They married on September 20, 1958 at Kilpeck Church.

John went on to become a master plasterer.

He built his own bungalow from the foundations up and taught at Hereford Technical College.

Viv qualified as a nurse and worked as a sister for the NHS, Macmillan Cancer Support and at St Michael's Hospice when it was first opened.

They have three children: Ian, Susan and Rita and seven grandchildren: Amy, Peter, Rosie, William, Jasmine, Pamela and Adam.

They also have two great grandchildren called Gillen and Rowan.

John is now 84 and Viv 78 and they like to stay active and enjoy holidays in the UK and abroad.

The couple, who live in Whitecross, are looking forward to marking the occasion with friends and family as they see them over the coming weeks.
