BREDON STAR 13PTS, BROMYARD 45PTS

BROMYARD returned to winning ways with an assured display against league strugglers Bredon Star on Saturday.

It took two early Bredon penalties to kick start the assault but two tries by the impressive flanker Steve Rowberry, the second following a fine run by winger Anthony Blackshaw, settled the nerves. A try by strong running winger Gareth Griffiths and another by bustling centre Tom Albert, finishing off a Stuart Harrison break, gave a 6-24 lead at half-time.

After conceding a try early in the second half, young centre Dan Goodson marked his return to the side when he touched down for another try for the visitors. Not to be left out skipper Nick Legge added to the team's try tally when he crashed through Bredon's defence following a well worked line out move.

Roger Dixon finished off proceedings with a richly deserved try and scrum half Ben Collins slotted his fifth conversion of the afternoon.

Bromyard are in league action again this Saturday when they entertain Warley RFC and hope to build on last week's strong performance.
