NEWENT'S MP Mark Harper has raised concerns that tourism to the Forest of Dean has been declining steadily for a decade.
Statistics show that an average of 1.9m visitors annually bring £100m to spend in Mr Harper's constituency.
But speaking in the Commons on Monday, May 12, Mr Harper said: "Our market share in termns of visitors have fallen consistently over the past ten years."
He urged the Government to do whatver it could to encourage more visitors to the area.
