Bid to trace family tree

A WOMAN from Australia is trying to trace her family tree and believes many of her ancestors may be from the Ledbury area.
Paula Phillips-Prescott grew up in the UK but moved to Bridgetown about a decade ago.
She is in the process of tracing her family history on the Phillips side and has been writing to local people of that name that she has tracked down via a directory enquiries website.
Mrs Phillips-Prescott knows that her grandfather William Frank Phillips was one of many siblings born in the Ledbury area in the late 19th century, and that the local connections can be traced back a further two generations.
She is interested in hearing from anyone in the area who thinks they may have a connection to the Phillips family.
