Butcher loses some flesh of his own

WELL-known Bromyard butcher Anthony Legge managed to resist the smell of his own sizzling bacon to lose an incredible five-stones in just a few months.

He threw himself into a regulated diet and exercise regime after being warned by his local GP that he faced further operations on an existing arthritic hip condition because of his 17-stone weight.

He said: “For the first time in my life I feel flexible, healthy and full of energy. I am enjoying the freedom of being active and feeling lighter. I look and feel 10 years younger.”

Mr Legge, owner of Legge’s of Bromyard Butchers, in Tenbury Road, was recommended the LighterLife diet by a friend and started following it in March.

He now enjoys a much healthier lifestyle which includes plenty of cycling and cannot see himself returning to old ways.

He added that he was “bursting with energy” after losing the weight.
