Royal visit for flower arrangers

FLOWER arrangers from Ledbury and Bromyard will receive a visit from HRH Princess Alexandra when they take part in a flower festival being held by St Michael’s Hospice.

The Bromyard Floral Art Club and Ledbury and District Floral Art Club are joining in with the hospice’s “A Cornucopia of Silver” flower festival, which is taking place at Lyde Arundel, near Hereford, from Friday to Sunday, July 17-19.

The festival is being held to celebrate St Michael’s Hospice’s 25th anniversary.

The Princess, who officially opened the Hereford-based hospice in 1984, will be returning for a tour on July 17 before making her way to the flower festival.

There will be a total of 50 floral displays at the event. The Bromyard Floral Art Club has designed a display called “Lottery Jackpot” while the Ledbury and District Floral Art Club is displaying “Retail Therapy Hospice Shops”.

Anyone who would like to buy tickets for the flower festival can do so on the door or in advance from Debbie Hart on 01432 851000.
