A HOST of entertainment and attractions has been organised for Ledbury’s Christmas Lights Switch-On, which takes place next Sunday (November 29).

There will be Christmas music from 12.30pm, and Father Christmas will arrive in the town at 1pm, before spending the afternoon meeting youngsters in his grotto at the town council offices, in Church Street.

Entertainment continues throughout the afternoon, with performances from the Silurian Morris Men, St Paul’s Morris Dancers, Tarrington Brass and Suzie’s Dance Group.

At 4.15pm there will be a prize draw, and then the lights swiitch-on itself, conducted by mayor Chris Holbourn, takes place at 4.30pm.

The switch-on will be immediately followed by community carol singing accompanied by Tarrington Brass.

A host of stalls will offer the perfect opportunity to catch up on Christmas shopping, and there will be refreshments to suit every taste, including a pig roast, crepes, coffees and doughnuts.

There will be children’s amusements in High Street and Radio Wyvern will be covering the event live.
