THE red coats and imposing horses of the Ledbury Hunt will be assembling in the town centre on Saturday for the traditional Boxing Day meet.
The meet has been taking place since 1833, and the riders and hounds will gather in the town even if the weather is not suitable for hunting.
The hunt members, led by Lady Master Ged Lampard, will meet for their usual stirrup cup outside the Feathers Hotel at 10.45am, before riding off through the town.
Donald Haden, spokesman for the Ledbury Hunt, said: "We usually get about 100 horses out on Boxing Day, and so many people come to see us that the town centre is full. Even if the ground is too hard and icy to hunt, we'll still gather in the town centre because so many people expect us to."
