ANN CAM Primary School in Dymock is celebrating after its fund-raising efforts over the festive season turned in a bumper return.
The totals have now been added up, revealing that the grand sum of more than £800 was raised during December thanks to the generosity of friends and families attending the school’s Christmas Fayre and nativity productions.
Rachel Freestone, chair of the school’s Parent Teacher and Friends Association, said: “December was an amazing month for the PTFA and we want to thank all of the friends and families of the school for their support of our fund-raising activities.
“It was a fantastic end to a brilliant year of money making activities that have benefited the school.”
As part of its ongoing fund-raising activities the PTFA is holding the first of what it hopes will become regular film nights this evening (Friday, January 29). This evening’s film will be the animated smash-hit G-Force, which tells of a specially trained team of super guinea pigs who solve crime and save the world.
The PTFA is extremely important to the school, having provided over the last 12 months alone equipment including new computers, an adventure trail and netball and music equipment.
