GLITZ and glamour will be the order of the day when a Bosbury nursery school holds a James Bond-themed fund-raising ball later this month.
Jack in the Box nursery school, is organising the “Bond is Back” event to raise money for Acorns Childrens Hospice and the Arthritis Research Campaign (ARC).
In true Bond style it will feature two full casino tables complete with croupiers and guests will be able to have their photo taken next to a glamorous Aston Martin car.
ARC was chosen as one of the beneficiaries of the event because one of the nursery’s former pupils, Phoebe Hayes, suffers from juvenile arthritis. Her father Julian is the lead guitarist in the band Freezone, who will be providing music - possibly including a Bond theme or two - at the event.
There will also be a pig roast and official photographer, and the dress code is black tie or Bond-themed fancy dress.
Tickets are going fast, with more than 150 already sold, and anyone who would like to attend is encouraged to book quickly to avoid disappointment.
Jackie Barratt, Jack in the Box owner, said: “It should be a really good night and it is for a very worthy cause. We’ve already had a fantastic response and we hope that support continues.”
The event takes place on Saturday, February 27 and tickets cost £20. Groups of 10 or 12 booking a table will receive free wine. For more details or to book email jackintheboxnursery@btinternet.com or call 01531 640949.
