Sale boosts charity coffers

A SALE of "good as new" clothes and accessories in aid of the British Heart Foundation was a great success, said organisers.

The event was organised by fund raisers Sue Stone, Keri Backhouse and Julia Griffiths, who were selling quality nearly-new items and serving afternoon tea in aid of the charity.

The venue was Wyatt's Home and Garden Shop in the Homend, and the sale raised £300.

"It went extremely well," said Julia. "We're very grateful to Jane Wyatt for allowing us to use her shop as the venue. She was very helpful to us.

"We're also very grateful to our friends and the people of Ledbury for supporting the sale."
