FIRE fighters were called out to a kitchen fire at a house in Brockhill Road, Colwall, on Saturday evening, April 10.
Crews from Ledbury and Upton raced to the scene at about 7.25pm, and firemen using breathing apparatus and hose reels confined the fire to the kitchen and extinguished it.
The occupants of the house were unharmed, and a cat was also rescued.
A brigade spokesman said: "The fire was caused by cooking that was left unattended, so we would urge people always to keep an eye on what they are cooking."
