A BUSINESSMAN from Redmarley has bought and refurbished St Mary’s Hall Hotel on the Isles of Scilly Clifford Freeman is promising to bring some of the very best of local produce to its guests.
The hotel’s new Spirit Bar and Restaurant will feature some of the finest Gloucestershire beef, pork and lamb from Clifford’s own rare breeds farm on its menu. It will also feature products such as Newent-based Crushers Pride fruit juices.
Mr Freeman hopes Spirit will become the renowned food and drink destination on the Islands.
He said: "We have scoured the south west of England meeting producers and manufacturers looking for the very best food and drink suppliers for everything we will need to run a renowned restaurant and hotel, taking a completely fresh approach to the food we source, putting provenance and quality first and foremost."
