COLWALL-based Beacons Development Education Centre is set to hold its annual conference from 10am to 4.30pm on Saturday, June 5.
The event will take place at the Baptist Church Hall in Sansome Walk, Worcester, and will look at the subject ‘Developing the future in a world of conflict’ with Birmingham University professor Paul Jackson.
Representatives from Quaker and Islamic agencies have been invited to contribute and there will also be contributions from peace-making organisation Concordis and regional Christian Aid organiser Charlotte Marshall.
In recent years Beacons has sponsored several successful conferences in sixth form colleges around the two counties and it holds a range of teaching materials and unique artefacts from around the world at its centre in Upper Colwall.
