A DAREDEVIL teenager from Colwall will be jumping out of a plane from more than 10,000 feet tomorrow (Saturday, September 4) to raise money for the Alzheimer’s Society.

18-year-old musician Jenny Hallam will reach speeds of 120mph when she takes on a fund-raising skydive in Cirencester.

The Alzheimer’s Society is a cause close to Jenny’s heart as her grandfather was diagnosed with the disease six years ago.

She has already reached her £500 target and still has more money to come in from sponsorship and collection boxes she has placed at her recent gigs.

“I would really love to make a difference and to try and beat this terrible condition, or at least find and fund ways of making it more bearable for those that have Alzheimers, but also those who have to see and cope with the deterioration of their loved ones,” she said. “I’ve never done anything like this before and as it gets closer I’m feeling a mixture of excitement and nerves.”
