A WHITBOURNE family has decorated their home with Christmas lights to raise money for St Richards Hospice.
Steve Symonds, a teaching assistant at Bishops Perowne School in Worcester, was inspired to fundraise for the hospice because of the way his grandfather, Des Symonds MBE, was treated there.
Lyn Symonds, Steve's mum, said: "Steve's grandfather died in the hospice on July 8, and we were just so impressed with how he was treated. Nothing was too much trouble for them.
"Steve puts lights on the house anyway, so he decided to do it for St Richards this year. We've got a proper St Richards collecting bucket out for people to put contributions in."
