DEATH By Fatal Murder is a comedy by Peter Gordon and it is at Malvern Theatres from July 12-16.

The play stars EastEnders’ ‘Dirty Den’ Leslie Grantham and Michelle Hardwick, who plays Lizzie Kennoway in The Royal.

The comic murder mystery is part of Peter Gordon’s Inspector Pratt trilogy and features the hilarious and less-than-competent Inspector. Pratt’s record of crime detection is not an enviable one. On his last visit to Bagshot House the body count mounted disastrously as he looked on, helpless and hopeless. Now he is back with a new crime to solve and, as usual, chaos reigns supreme.

During the course of his investigations Pratt meets the new owner of Bagshot House, Nancy Allwright, and soon he is embroilled in more mystery, aided and abetted by Constable Thomkins.

Things get increasingly complicated in this country house murder mystery with an unexpected arrival and a frightening suggestion by Welsh busybody and clairvoyant, Blodwyn Morgan.

The play is from Ian Dickens Productions International and follows the successful tour of another Inspector Pratt story, Murdered To Death.

There are performances in the evenings at 8pm and matinees on Wednesday and Saturday at 2.30pm.

Tickets range from £13.50 to £19.50 and tickets for under 26s cost just £8. Contact Malvern Theatres on 01684 892277 or go to malvern-theatres.co.uk.
