FOUR girls from Malvern St James school are celebrating after being offered highly sought-after places at Oxford and Cambridge.
Joint head girls Rosie Baker and Jess Wright are joined by Daisy Zhang and Zoe Xu in winning places at the prestigious universities.
Rosie, who is going to read geography at Cambridge, said: “I’m really thrilled to feel my hard work and preparation paying off.
“The prospect of studying geography, a subject I feel passionate about, in such a motivated environment is very exciting and has really given me something to work towards in my last few months at school.”
Jess plans to study geography at Oxford and Daisy has a place to read engineering at Cambridge.
Zoe, who left MSJ in 2011, has a place to study natural sciences at Cambridge.
Headmistress Patricia Woodhouse said: “I am thrilled with the girls’ Oxbridge successes this year, which are also a great tribute to our dynamic science and geography departments. In an increasingly competitive market this is a brilliant achievement and continues to position MSJ as an outstanding school for girls.”
