Nature reserve set for annual open day

STAFF and volunteers at one of the county’s most scenic nature reserves will be holding their annual open day on Sunday.

The Knapp and Papermill Reserve, at Alfrick Pound, is one of Worcestershire Wildlife Trust’s flagship sites, comprising a mixture of orchards, meadows and woodland.

The event is from 11am-5pm and will feature two guided walks and a woodland-themed children’s trail.

There will also be craft stalls, displays and information stands.

Warden Fergus Henderson said: “Everything’s well on the way to being green and the blossom is coming out and looking beautiful. The relatively mild winter may also mean that our annual carpet of bluebells will be in flower just in time.”
